A1DG Mission Statement

The mission of the Air Force Language, Region and Culture (LRC) Program Office (AF/A1DG) is to provide oversight, policy guidance, strategic focus and support for language and culture issues for the Air Force. AF/A1DG establishes and oversees policy programming and program execution regarding the LRC ability in the development, management, and utilization of all Airmen; monitors trends in the promotion, accession, and retention of Airmen with language and regional expertise skills; and explores innovative concepts to expand Air Force LRC capabilities. AF/A1DG is also the Executive Agent for the Defense English Language Program (DELP), providing oversight to the Defense Language Institute English Language Center (DLIELC), facilitating security cooperation issues with stakeholders, and maintaining program reporting data to OSD and Congress.
